Due to continuing wet weather and availability of local emergency services, the Singleton Emergency Services Expo that was due to be held in Civic Park on Saturday 8 March 2025 from 9am – 12pm has been postponed.
Rates in Singleton are levied on a financial year cycle. You can pay your rates in a variety of different ways - online, in person, by direct debit, BPAY or phone.
In Singleton, while rates collectively generate a significant amount of money for services and infrastructure, income from rates does not cover everything.
Rate money is used for things like street lighting, waste services, roads, parks, sporting fields and facilities and services.
Land valuations are determined by the NSW Valuer General based on recents sales evidence, as well as zoning restrictions and nearby amenities.
Each property falls into one of four categories for rating purposes, dependent on the actual use of the property.
