Adult Literacy Tutor Training

Singleton Public Library offers a program to support adults to improve their reading, writing and maths. The program is supported by community volunteers who are trained as Adult Literacy Tutors.

We are offering community members interested in joining the program places in a 12-hour training course run over four weekly sessions commencing on Wednesday 5 July. All sessions will run from 9am - 12pm. 

Please complete an Expression of Interest Form if you are interested in undertaking the training and are happy to commit your support to the program as required. Support involves undertaking training, attending quarterly meetings, and preparing and facilitating literacy support sessions – generally one, hour long face to face session a week if required.

Places are limited. A library staff member will be in contact to confirm participation a week before the advertised start of training.
