Young Librarian of the Month

Share your favourites from the Library with the community!

Singleton Public Library invites children and young adults to share their favourite library resources with the community.

Each month, a participant has the chance to showcase what they love about the library. It doesn’t have to be just books—participants can choose from any of our resources, such as CDs, DVDs, toys, seeds from our seed library, puzzles, STEM kits, non-fiction books, or even the video games they enjoy playing in the library. They can provide a simple list or add reviews or personal notes about why those items are special to them.

The featured recommendations are displayed in the library and shared on our social media, giving young patrons a chance to inspire others and celebrate the variety of resources the library has to offer. These programs are all about giving young library users a voice, encouraging a shared community culture, and promoting a love of learning and discovery within local families.

Parents and guardians can decide how much information they’re comfortable sharing, including whether to include the participant’s name or photo. To make it easy to get involved, you will find an Expression of Interest (EOI) form below, where families can register their interest.

We hope these programs will become a favourite among families, helping us create a welcoming and inclusive library space while building strong community connections.
