Long Day Care

Colleen Gale Childrens Service has been operating since 1994. Our educational and care service caters for 50 children per day between the ages of six weeks to five years and through the transition to school. With spacious playgrounds set amongst a rural bush setting, Colleen Gale Children’s Services is the ideal education environment to maximise your child’s learning potential.

The service is open from 6.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, 50 weeks of the year. We are closed public holidays.

Philosophy

Underpinning our practice and purpose to guarantee that young children are provided with every opportunity to maximise their capabilities, is our philosophy that developing core foundations help ensure future success in learning.

Staff strive to form strong partnerships with families to share an understanding of each child’s individuality to build an accurate picture of their strengths, abilities and overall development. Families are encouraged to be active contributors to the daily program and curriculum.

Staffing

The primary focus of staff at Colleen Gale Children’s Services is on the education and care outcomes for children. Our highly qualified team have a great understanding of child development and health and safety concerns related to children and the community.

The team comprises of:

  • Early Childhood Teachers
  • Diploma qualified educators
  • Certificate III educators
  • Cooks

Team members have the following qualifications:

  • First aid qualification
  • Emergency asthma + anaphylaxis management training
  • Child protection training
  • Red Nose safe sleep training
  • Food Safety Training
