Keeping active is as easy as walking the dog or playing with the kids at the park. Being active and moving your body helps you stay fit and healthy - both mentally and physically.
There are so many ways that you can be active.
Checkout just some of the things you can get up to in Singleton:
- Go outside and enjoy a walk or run. Visit Council's Walking Singleton to learn of the local walking routes, including the Heritage Walk and 10,000 Steps
- Explore in nature. Why not visit Lake St Clair, take a walk along Rose Point Park or explore one of the many open spaces that our community has to offer through our Parks, Playgrounds, Sportsgrounds and Reserves
- Take your dog for a walk. Why not explore our off-leash dog park Merricks Park, off Darlington Road, next to Merricks Fire Brigade Reserve. See more Off-Leash Areas
- Walk, jog or run at the FREE weekly Singleton Parkrun at Rose Point Park
- Do you prefer a bike ride? Take a ride along the Hermitage Road Cycleway or for a great location to help children become familiar with road rules in a safe environment head to Cook Park at Singleton or Stewart McTaggert Park at Broke and have fun learning to ride!
- Park the car in the furthest carpark and walk the extra distance
- Take the kids on a hunt for some hidden NSW ROCKS or why not paint your own and hide them for others to find. Join in the fun!
- Enjoy a swim or splash at the Singleton Gym and Swim
- Try your hand at some tennis at Howe Park, Bulga Recreational Ground or Jerrys Plains Recreational Ground
- Enjoy a game of golf at the Singleton Golf Club
- Have some fun playing a game of bowls at Singleton Diggers - York Street or Alroy Park or Club Singleton
- Take the scooters, BMX bikes, or skateboards and visit one of our skate parks - Allan Bull Reserve, Broke Skate Park or Stewart McTaggert Park
