Learn to prepare healthy and nutritious meals for the whole family at this FREE cooking experience being offered as part of the Singleton Explore Wellbeing program.
Presented by Singleton Council together with The Wholesome Collective, this two-hour interactive cooking and nutrition event includes tips for cooking for kids, a relaxed conversation about preparing food for school and work lunchboxes and a delicious meal.
Not only will you walk away from the experience with greater cooking confidence, but you’ll also take home a free cookbook and meal planner magnet!
You will learn about:
- Mood and Food - the link between our gut health and mental health
- Education around different health conditions and diet restrictions such as diabetes
- Fussy eaters – ways to encourage all ages to try different foods
- The importance of three meals a day
- Cooking for a family – budgeting, meal planning, stocking a pantry, freezing, dinner to lunchbox ideas, food shopping
- Hydration – alternative choices to sugary drinks
