You’ll feel the warmth at Singleton Firelight
Published on 15 April 2025
Embrace the chill and ignite your senses at Singleton Firelight when it returns on Saturday 3 May with a program jam-packed with activities, entertainment and fun for the entire family.
Ice skating and an outdoor cinema will top a huge list of free Firelight activities and attractions as Singleton’s annual homage to autumn heads back to its origins at the Civic Precinct from 6 – 9.30pm.
Singleton Mayor, Cr Sue Moore said while warming up the community is at the heart of Firelight, it would be a little more chill in 2025 with the addition, for the first time, of an indoor ice rink and a cosy outdoor cinema.
“After the disappointment of having to cancel Firelight last year because of torrential rain, Firelight is moving back to where it started in 2018, the Civic Precinct,” she said.
“This means that whatever the weather this year, there’ll be plenty of space inside or outside for everyone to spread out and enjoy all the activities and entertainment on offer.
“Everyone can expect all the Firelight favourites – roving performers, live music, market stalls, sensory experiences, and plenty of free children’s activities including a jumping castle, putt putt golf, face painting, circus workshop and more.
“There’ll be plenty of food trucks parked in the event precinct offering a great variety of dinner options, coffee and hot chocolate to purchase, plus a bar with heaters in the courtyard serving up Hunter Valley wine and beer.
“We’re particularly excited about some cool new additions to the program and can’t wait to see people having a go at ice skating in the Civic Centre and bringing along a picnic rug or chairs for the outdoor cinema which will be screening Ice Age.
“Best of all, they’re both free – including free popcorn for the movie.”
The Civic Precinct and Library car park will be closed on the night, but there’s plenty of parking in and around the area.
