Due to continuing wet weather and availability of local emergency services, the Singleton Emergency Services Expo that was due to be held in Civic Park on Saturday 8 March 2025 from 9am – 12pm has been postponed.

The decision to postpone the event was made after significant consideration and in keeping with Singleton Council’s number one priority to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community.

A new date for the 2025 Expo will be shared with the community in the coming weeks.

Mayor of Singleton, Cr Sue Moore said while it was a disappointing decision, the safety of Expo attendees, emergency service representatives, stallholders and Singleton Council staff came first.

“The Emergency Services Expo is one of our most popular annual community events, and there’s been so much work and planning gone into making this year’s yet another success,” she said.

“But the inclement weather conditions, the forecast for more rain over the weekend, and having a number of our local emergency services deployed north to support the response to Tropical Cyclone Alfred means that we’re left with no other option than to postpone the Expo in the interests of keeping everyone safe.

“We’re very fortunate here in Singleton to have such capable emergency services that can be deployed out of area to support the response phase of an emergency.

“This is a timely reminder about the importance of being prepared for an emergency event, which can happen at any time.

“We sincerely apologise for the disappointment this will cause and hope to see you at the Expo when a new date is set.”
