A new resource is now available to Singleton residents to access funding opportunities in a convenient one-stop-shop.

Singleton Council has partnered with GrantGuru to launch the Singleton Grant Finder – an online portal that provides instant access to Australia’s most comprehensive compilation of funding opportunities for local businesses, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations.

Dwight Graham, Council’s Director Corporate and Commercial Services, said the portal not only listed all available funding opportunities, but it also provided helpful information on applying for grants and the ability to sign up for alerts.

“There are a lot of fantastic funding opportunities out there, but the process of finding and applying for grants can be time consuming, and many people just don’t know where to start,” Mr Graham said.

“Council has partnered with GrantGuru to take the guess work out of searching for grants and to help groups and businesses navigate the process, completely free of charge.

“Users can register online for free and select what type of funding they’re searching for, as well as receive email alerts when relevant grants become available, ensuring they can take full advantage of every funding opportunity.

“The Singleton Grant Finder is an easy-to-use tool and I encourage community groups, sports clubs, not-for-profit organisations and businesses to jump online and sign up today.

“Singleton Council is dedicated to empowering our community groups, businesses and not-for-profit sectors secure funding – this ultimately elevates local industries, creates jobs, and contributes to ongoing local prosperity to ensure our region continues to thrive.”

Access to the Singleton Grant Finder is available through Council’s website, on the Grants and Scholarships webpage, or directly at: www.grantguru.com/singleton

To further support the community’s success with grant applications, Council in partnership with Business Singleton will host two free grant writing workshops in September.

The grant writing workshops are being delivered by an expert from The Business Centre in the Singleton Civic Centre Foyer from 9am – 12.30pm on Wednesday 18 September and 1.30pm – 5pm on Wednesday 25 September.
