Christmas + New Year Operational Hours 2024/25

A number of Singleton Council’s facilities and services will shutdown or operate with modified hours for the Christmas and New Year holiday period, beginning at 11am on Tuesday 24 December 2024.
Singleton Administration Centre
Singleton Council’s Administration Centre in Queen Street will be closed from 11am on Tuesday 24 December 2024. Regular operating hours will resume at 8am on Thursday 2 January 2025. An after-hours phone diversion will in place during this period.
Singleton Visitor Information Centre (VIC)
The VIC will be closed from 11am on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and operate with modified hours, open 10am-3pm, from Friday 27 December to Tuesday 31 December 2024 and Wednesday 1 January 2025. The VIC will resume normal operating hours from Thursday 2 January 2025.
Singleton Arts + Cultural Centre (SACC)
The SACC will be closed from 11am on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and operate with modified hours, open 10am-3pm, from Friday 27 December to Tuesday 31 December 2024 and Wednesday 1 January 2025. The SACC will resume normal operating hours from Thursday 2 January 2025.
Singleton Public Library
The Library will be closed from 11am on Tuesday 24 December 2024. Regular operating hours will resume on Thursday 2 January 2025. Digital resources can be accessed throughout the closure period.
Singleton Youth Venue
The youth venue will be closed from 11am on Tuesday 24 December 2024. Regular operating hours will resume on Thursday 2 January 2025.
Singleton Waste Management Facility + Kerbside Collection Service
The Waste Management Facility will close from 2pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 until regular operating hours resume at 8am on Friday 27 December 2024. On Wednesday 1 January 2025 the Waste Management Facility will be open from 9am – 4.30pm as per normal public holiday operational hours.
Kerbside bin collection services will not occur on Christmas Day. Services resume on Boxing Day, 26 December. This will result in all residents’ bins being collected one day after their normal collection day for this week.
Colleen Gale Childrens Services
Colleen Gale Childrens Centre will close from 6pm on Friday 20 December 2024 and will reopen with normal operating hours at 6.30am on Monday 6 January 2025.
Singleton Out of School Hours Care (OOSH)
Singleton OOSH will close from 6.30pm on Friday 20 December 2024 and will reopen with normal operating hours at 6am on Monday 6 January 2025.
Singleton Animal Management Facility
Council Ranger services will cease at 11am on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and will resume on Thursday 2 January 2025. While Council’s Animal Management Facility remains closed to the public, all impounded animals are cared for during this period. For emergency situations, such as dog attacks and stock on roads, NSW Police should be contacted. Stray dogs are not considered an emergency. Members of the public are not obligated to seize stray dogs. A dog’s behaviour can be unpredictable. It is advised not to try and catch it in the interests of personal safety.
Water and Sewer
Council’s Water and Sewer network staff will be available for emergencies by contacting the after-hours service from 11am on Tuesday 24 December 2024 to 8am on Thursday 2 January 2025.
Singleton Gym + Swim
Singleton Gym + Swim will be closed on Christmas Day and open with reduced hours on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. The Gym + Swim will be open 10am-6pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024, 10am-6pm on Thursday 26 December 2024, 5am-8pm on Friday 27 December 2024, and 10am-6pm on Tuesday 31 December 2024 and Wednesday 1 January 2025.
Duty Planning Enquiries
Duty Planning services will cease on Monday 23 December 2024 until Thursday 2 January 2025 and Friday 3 January 2025. Duty Planning services will resume as normal from Monday 6 January 2025.
