Council operations + services

The following operational hours will be in place for Council facilities and services on Anzac Day – Friday 25 April:

CLOSED

  • Council’s Administration Building
  • Singleton Public Library
  • Singleton Youth Venue
  • OOSH
  • Colleen Gale Long Day Care
  • Singleton Animal Management Facility
  • Singleton Gym + Swim

OPEN WITH AMENDED HOURS

  • Singleton Visitor Information Centre: 1 – 5pm
  • Singleton Arts + Cultural Centre: 1 – 4.30pm
  • Singleton Waste Management Facility: 9am – 4.30pm

There will be no changes to kerbside waste collection.

Council’s Ranger Services will be unavailable on Friday 25 April. All animals in the Animal Management Facility will be cared for as per normal business operations. For emergency situations, such as dog attacks and stock on roads, please contact NSW Police.

To pay your rates, apply for online certificates or lodge requests, Council’s Online Services is available 24 hours.

2025 Anzac Day service details

Singleton

  • Dawn Service - 5.30am at the Burdekin Park war memorial
  • Morning Service - 10am march assembling at Ryan Avenue, continuing to Hunter Street and along Hunter Street to Burdekin Park. Service in Burdekin Park from 11am

Bulga

  • Anzac Day Service on Friday 25 April at the Memorial Gates, Bulga Recreation Ground beginning at 11am

Broke

  • Dawn Service - 5.45am at the Broke War Memorial in Stewart McTaggart Park followed by a small breakfast at the rear of the RFS shed
  • Morning Service - 10am at the Broke War Memorial in Stewart McTaggart Park followed by morning tea at Broke RFS (bring a plate)

Road Closures

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 116 of the Roads Act 1993, that the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on Friday 25 April 2025 from:  

9.30am to 10.30am 

  • Ryan Avenue, between John Street (north) and Burns Lane  
  • Hunter Street, between John Street and Church Street 

9.30am to 12pm 

  • Hunter Street, between Church Street and New England Highway 
  • Bourke Street, between Elizabeth Street and William Street 

The above roads are to be closed for the purpose of the Singleton Anzac Day march and service. Signed detour routes will be in place during the period of the road closures.
