Singleton Council has a Development Application under assessment which has been classed as a Nominated Integrated and Threatened Species Development.

The proposal is also Nominated Integrated Development. This means that additional approvals, required under other legislation, are being considered as part of the current development application. The other approvals are as follows:

Approval Agency: Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure – Water

The proposed development is supported by a Biodiversity Development Assessment Report (BDAR) which identifies that the biodiversity offset scheme threshold has been exceeded; and as such constitutes Threatened Species development as defined under Section 7.2(2) of the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016.

Information about this Development can be found via Singleton Council’s DA Tracker (select search then enter year and DA number) or can be inspected at Council’s Administration Centre in Queen Street, Singleton from 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Any person may, during the exhibition period, make a submission in writing to the Council in relation to the application.

Where a submission is made by way of an objection, the grounds for objection must be clearly specified. An acknowledgement of your submission will be made no earlier than one week after the exhibition closing date.

Should you intend to make a submission to Council on any planning related matter, your attention is drawn to your statutory obligations under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 regarding disclosure of political donations and gifts.

If the application is approved, a person who makes a submission by way of objection does not have a right of appeal to the Land and Environment Court unless a matter of law arises.
