Council Committees – Expressions of Interest

Are you passionate about the community and want to make a difference?

Expressions of Interest are currently open from community members to join the following Council Committees:

• Singleton Aboriginal Reconciliation Committee
• Singleton Arts and Culture Advisory Group
• Singleton and District Disability Advisory Committee
• Singleton Heritage Advisory Committee
• Sustainability Advisory Committee
• Weeds Advisory Committee
• Mount Thorley Warkworth Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) Community Committee
• United Wambo Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) Community Committee

The length of term for each Committee is the term of Council and each committee has a range of functions and responsibilities.

Community representatives will be appointed based on the following selection criteria:

• Demonstrated skills and experience of positively working in a team environment
• Demonstrated skills and experience working with local communities and value-adding to decision making
• Demonstrated skills and experience in driving positive change and promoting community interests
• Well-developed communication and relationship building skills.
