Formal access applications
If you are required to submit a formal application, please forward it in writing accompanied by a $30 application fee. The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 - Formal Application Form is available on the website or from Council’s Customer Service Centre.

In your application please provide as much information as possible about the information you wish to access, if you are unsure, Council’s Access to Information Officer or Customer Service Centre staff will assist you in filling out the form

Government Information Definitions

The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) determines the following definitions:

‘Government Information’ refers to any information contained in a record held by an agency. Local Councils are included in the definition of government agencies.

‘Record’ means any document or other source of information complied, recorded or stored in written form or by electronic process, or in any other manner or by any other means. The knowledge of a person is not a record.
