Snakes
All native snakes are protected in NSW and it is illegal to harm them (National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974). To report a snake on Council land, contact Council.

Council does not remove snakes from private properties. If you come across a snake on private property and you need it to be removed you should contact Wildlife Aid Inc on 0429 850 089, or Reptile Rescue on 0429 325 905 (fees may apply).

If you are bitten by a snake seek medical assistance immediately.

Information on snake bites is available 24 hours a day from the NSW Poison Information Centre.

First aid information is available from NSW Health.
