Regional Livestock Market Advisory Committee
The functions of the Regional Livestock Market Advisory Committee is :

  • To review and make recommendations on the operation of the Singleton Regional Livestock Market (SRLM);
  • To advise Council on the identified community needs in the area of SRLM facilities;
  • Ensure the continued operation of the saleyards within the Singleton Local Government area in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner;
  • Achieve the best outcome and value for money for Singleton ratepayers and residents;
  • Achieve the best outcome for sellers, livestock agents and other users of the SRLM;
  • Ensure that the market is managed and operated in accordance with industry and animal welfare best practice and standards; and
  • Involve Singleton’s livestock industry communities in the planning and implementation process.

The committee normally meets twice a year after hours.
