Sustainable Futures
Sustainable Futures is an educational program developed by the CSIRO that combines the latest in climate science with education in sustainability. This program was formerly known as CarbonKids

The Sustainable Futures program is suitable for schools to use with students in years 3 – 9. Schools must register to be part of the program. Upon registration schools will receive a set of educational resources which offer a range of ideas and activities to support the teaching of sustainability and the environment in Australian schools.

Sustainable Futures: 
  • encourages your students to develop skills in the process of inquiry, literature research, experimental investigation and critical thinking
  • facilitates collaborative learning
  • promotes a critical and an action based approach to problem solving
  • is teacher and student friendly
  • promotes collaboration between schools.
