How Do I
Wood smoke reduction education program
During winter, wood smoke heaters can produce up to seven times as much particle pollution as cars. Wood smoke from wood fire heaters can cause breathing difficulties, especially for people suffering existing respiratory conditions, such as asthmatics, and for very young children and frail older people.

Each winter, Council provides the community with educational material promoting actions that home owners can take to reduce the impact from wood heaters in the Singleton area.
