Singleton Historical Society was formed more than 50 years ago in November 1960. In 1963, the Historical Society was granted the use of the former Council chambers in Burdekin Park, which became the Singleton Historical Museum.
Since then, the historical society has collected a range of artefacts that are on display in the museum, for the appreciation of present and future generations.
