Council elections
All Singleton residents are eligible to enrol and vote in the Local Government elections.

Ordinary elections are held every four years, usually on the second Saturday of September.

The next general election will be on 10 September 2016. For all election information visit the VoteNSW website.

All elected members must lodge a declaration listing all political donations received and electoral expenditure incurred. A register of these declarations is available on the NSW Electoral Commission website.

Voting & Early Voting Options
Voting is compulsory for all residents of the Singleton Local Government Area who are registered on the electoral roll. Electors enrolled for Federal and State elections are automatically enrolled for their local Council area. Enrolment forms can be obtained from any Australia Post office.

Polling locations for voting on Saturday 10 September 2016 can be viewed here.

Pre-Poll Voting is open from 29 August to 9 September 2016.  Locations and opening times for Pre-Poll Voting can be viewed here.

Applications for postal voting must be received by the NSW Electoral Commission no later than 5.00pm on Monday, 5 September 2016.  Details and application forms can be found here.
