How Do I
Bulk waste collection

Council provides an annual Bulk Waste Collection service around September/October each year to urban and rural residential properties paying for gabage and recycling collection services.

Bulk collection will NOT include:

  • ALL large whitegoods, e-waste and air-conditioners as they need special degassing and are only accepted at the Dyrring Road Waste Management Facility.
  • Due to contamination and health and safety issues, green waste will NOT be collected from the kerbside and must be taken by residents themselves to the Dyrring Road Waste Management Facility.

Bulk waste details and requirements
The following conditions apply to the bulk waste collection:
  • Collection will not necessarily occur on your normal garbage collection day. Please have your bulk waste on the kerb by 6.30am on the Monday of your collection week.  Any waste placed out after this time will NOT be collected;
  • Materials should be placed on the footpath verge in a position which will not obstruct traffic or pedestrians;
  • All items must be neatly stacked, with two separate piles for general waste and scrap metal;
  • Collection will be made by two separate vehicles (one for general waste and one for scrap metal);
  • All items must be capable of being loaded by hand by two workers (40kg or less);
  • Loose rubbish must be placed in bags or boxes;
  • Council offers free disposal of ewaste at the Dyrring Road Waste Management Facility. Do not put your TVs, computers and other electrical equipment out for the bulk waste collection;
  • A limit of two box trailer loads (equivalent volume) per household applies; and
  • Council has experienced occasional misuse of this service. Inspections will be conducted and any rubbish not complying will not be collected. Failure to remove waste from the kerb following the collection may result in a fine.
