Bridgman Ridge Community Trust
The successful applicants for Round Three of the Bridgman Ridge Community Trust have been announced with over $52,000 being awarded to various community groups.

Twelve grants were awarded to cultural and recreational groups in 2014 to increase the participation of the community in local events and activities.


Successful Round Three applicants are:
  • Singleton Men’s Shed - $1,250 – Disabled shower and toilet
  • Elderslie Community Hall - $2,000 – Disabled toilet
  • Singleton Community Garden - $2,000 – Establishing a community garden
  • Singleton Koori Knockout Side - $5,000 – Insurance, First Aid Kits and Trainers
  • Elizabeth Gates Village Auxiliary - $2,000 – Establishing “Eden Alternative”
  • Wheeling and Able Singleton Branch - $2,000 – Purchase of three Decpac ramps
  • Singleton Archery Society - $2,800 – Bows and accessories
  • St Catherine’s Catholic College P&F - $2,000 – Engage the services of a world-class choreographer
  • Singleton Netball Association - $28,000 (subject to conditions) – new Clubhouse
  • Howe Park Tennis Club - $2,000 – New green keepers storage
  • Singleton Apex Club - $2,000 – Storage facilities
  • Singleton Scout Group - $1,300 – Painting the Scout Hall

What is the Bridgman Ridge Community Trust?
Bridgman Ridge Community Trust
The Bridgman Ridge Community Trust was established to return to the community a portion of the money generated by the sale of land at Bridgman Ridge.

Each year the Trust provides funding to support local cultural and recreational groups and to increase participation of the Singleton community in local events and activities.

Funding rounds are held annually.

In 2013 the Trust donated a total of $36,000 to:
  • Singleton Chamber of Commerce
  • Singleton Historical Society & Museum Inc
  • Singleton Town Band
  • The Salvation Army Singleton
  • Mount Olive Community Centre
  • Singleton Writers’ Group
  • Glendonbrook Hall Inc
  • Jerrys Plains & Districts Progress Association Inc
  • Putty Community Association Inc
  • Singleton Neighbourhood Centre Inc
  • Witmore Enterprises
  • Singleton Junior Rugby League Club
