Sewer Management
Council provides sewer to 5,460 households and industrial sites.  Our services consist of a gravity sewer main network comprising of 135km of mains, 12 minor pump stations and three major pump stations.  Our sewer infrastructure is valued at $56 million.

This system covers Singleton, Glenridding, Singleton Heights, The Pinnacle, Hunterview and Darlington.  Maison Dieu area is connected by a pressure sewer system servicing both industrial and residential customers.  Our gravity and pressure systems are treated at our Wastewater Treatment Plant.

To report a complaint regarding Council's Sewage Treatment Plant (EPL 3088) or to report a sewage overflow please contact:

Scheduled Maintenance

Sewer Cleaning and Relining

The Sewer Cleaning and Relining Program that is underway across Singleton. Commencing Thursday 17 January 2019 and is expected to continue for the next month month. It is being undertaken by Council approved contactors Abergeldie and forms part of Council's Water and Sewer Group maintenance schedule. 

Sewer Jetting and Preventative Maintenance

Sewer Jetting and Preventative Maintenance, including gathering CCTV footage is currently underway in Singleton Heights by Council staff. This work is in light of excessive blockages and overflows in the area and is expected to continue on an ongoing basis.
