How Do I
Arts
Singleton is a fortunate community, not only for the natural wealth and beauty of its surroundings but also for the many talented residents who share their artistic abilities in all types of cultural pursuits, art, music and drama.

Civic Art Collection
The Civic Art Collection comprises 100 plus artworks in a variety of media, including oil and pastel paintings, pottery and sculpture. The collection's current valuation is in excess of $430,000.

Many of the art works have been donated to the community over time by way of the Singleton Art Prize. The collection is periodically rotated throughout the Council’s Customer Service Centre and Singleton Public Library.

Singleton Art Prize
A dedicated group of people known as the Singleton District Artists conceived the idea of the Singleton Art Prize in 1982. The group worked consistently to bring their annual show to its present significant standing, attracting the highest calibre of entry.

The Singleton Art Prize is held in July each year and is now recognised as one of the most prestigious annual events in the Hunter Valley and attracts artists and visitors from many areas. Part of this success is attributed to the generosity of the sponsors of prizes. The Singleton Art prize is now the responsibility of, and organised by, the Rotary Club of Singleton On Hunter.
